Anything is Possible
Rajasthan, 2023

Travelling through Rajasthan in 2017, Sally recorded her experiences in a sketchbook with a series of pencil and watercolour sketches. Rushing to capture as much as possible, with inspiration at every turn, these sketches turned into a valuable travel diary and now a new collection of paintings and drawings.

Her so called ‘travelling drawings’, marking the long journeys in the bumpy bus from one location to the next, through a changing landscape have become compelling multi page ink pieces. Intricately woven and evocative of the hazy and briefly glimpsed subjects, each of the five journeys has become a drawing.

Also in the collection, memories have become vibrant oil paintings and watercolour paintings attempting to make sense of the intensity of India with scenes from Udaipur, Alwar, Pushkar, Delhi and the landscape in between.
